I’m on the road this week. Well, the street, really. It’s that week in March when “The Show” sends me to NYC to cover a black tie gala at the Waldorf Astoria and the three days of meetings with the drug end of the chemical industry in the run-up. This year George H. W. Bush is speaking at the gala. Three years ago, Bill Clinton spoke on the day the war started. He talked only about his humanitarian ambitions and newly-launched foundation. I’m surprised secret service even let an ex-president out of the house that day.
So, I should have something on the black tie some time soon, as well as:
1) Dinner and colossally boring speeches at the Indian Consulate,
2) A sit down with an activist/editor at Gay Men’s Health Crisis,
3) An interview with the head of R&D at the world’s largest drug company,
4) Chelsea Hotel vibe,
5) Inaugural party at the New York Water Museum,
6) Edvard Munch at the Museum of Modern Art (God willing),
7) Clams at the El Quijote.
There are photographs. Several of clams.
Till then,
Vanx

Dude, you’re the person I should be talking to about this, I just somehow realized this. I’m working (in my head) on a post about cancer research and funding. The enormous strides made for Breast and Colon Cancer and the big fat lot of nothing made for Lung and Ovarian cancer. So, look for that will you? I”ll be interested to hear your thoughts.
Also, I got an e-mail from you (3/11) after I commented about your mom. Was I supposed to get one after that (’cause I didn’t) or am I up to date?
