Go with it! JR, if you’ve never seen or heard him, is the Godfather of American Punk Rock (his band was called The Modern Lovers). He has always been a sawed-off shotgun of childlike joie de vivre. Only in America can the Godfather of punk be a sawed-off shotgun of childlike joie de vivre. (He also has a great album of country music, and he plays a mean surf guitar).
He’s from Boston, Mass. If that’s not obvious.
